Google Maps
We integrate maps ("Google Maps") from Google (Google Ireland, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) on our website. Google Maps Privacy Policy
Google Maps allows us to better show locations and tailor our service to your needs. By using Google Maps, data is transmitted to Google and stored on Google’s servers. Here, we want to explain in more detail what Google Maps is, why we use this Google service, what data is stored, and how you can prevent this.
What is Google Maps?
Google Maps is an internet mapping service provided by Google Inc. With Google Maps, you can search for exact locations of cities, landmarks, accommodations, or businesses online using a PC, tablet, or app. If businesses are listed on Google My Business, additional information about the company is also displayed. To show directions, map snippets of a location can be embedded into a website via HTML code. Google Maps displays the Earth’s surface as a street map or as an aerial or satellite image. Thanks to Street View images and high-quality satellite imagery, very accurate representations are possible.
Why do we use Google Maps on our website?
Our efforts on this site aim to provide you with a useful and meaningful experience. By integrating Google Maps, we can deliver the most important information about various locations. You can see at a glance where our company is located. The directions always show you the best or fastest route to us. You can access routes by car, public transport, walking, or cycling. Providing Google Maps is part of our customer service.
What data is stored by Google Maps?
To fully provide its service, Google Maps needs to collect and store data from you. This includes, among other things, the search terms entered, your IP address, and latitude and longitude coordinates. If you use the route planner function, the entered starting address is also stored. However, this data storage occurs on Google Maps' websites. We can only inform you about this but have no influence over it. Since we have integrated Google Maps into our website, Google sets at least one cookie (Name: NID) in your browser. This cookie stores data about your user behavior. Google primarily uses this data to optimize its own services and provide personalized advertising.
Server Logfiles
For operational security reasons, the hosting provider (World4You Internet Services GmbH) collects data about accesses to the site and stores it as server logfiles. These logfiles are stored for two weeks and then deleted. The statistical analysis of accesses provided by the provider does not include IP addresses.
Data Security
We point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g., communication via email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data from third-party access is not possible. However, we do what we can to ensure this.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability. For this, please contact us.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have been otherwise infringed, you can file a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
