FAQ
Frequently asked questions about physiotherapy
What to bring to the first session?
Referral from a doctor (obtainable from a general practitioner or specialist). Number of therapy sessions and their duration, X-rays and MRI scans with their descriptions, comfortable clothing, large towel
If the session is related to women's health (postnatal Check-Up, returning to physical activity after pregnancy), please inform me in advance. I will send you a questionnaire that we will discuss together during the meeting.
Can I come for physiotherapy without a referral?
Absolutely. Preventive physiotherapy is available without a doctor's referral, even if you have no specific symptoms. We aim to make our services as accessible and flexible as possible, accommodating your needs and preferences.
Please note that preventive physiotherapy is not eligible for a refund from health insurance. If you have private insurance, check your policy for details on reimbursement.
Does health insurance partially reimburse the costs?
Yes. However, the amount of reimbursement varies depending on the specific health insurance fund.
At the end of the therapeutic series, you will receive an invoice detailing all units and their costs. You send this invoice along with the referral to the appropriate health insurance fund.
What do I need to do to have a part of the costs covered by my health insurance?
1. Referral - You can request this from your doctor, a general practitioner, or a specialist. Simply let them know that you are considering physiotherapy and they can provide you with a referral, specifying the number of sessions and the duration of each session that they recommend.
2. Approval - You can have your prescription approved by your health insurance before starting therapy to receive a reimbursement. This involves submitting your prescription to your health insurance provider for review and approval, ensuring that they agree to cover the costs of your recommended physiotherapy sessions.
Submit the collected invoices and your approved prescription to your health insurance, and you will be reimbursed for some of the costs.
